Nice st. Nicholas orthodox cathedral is the most important and the oldest of its kind outside Russia''s cathedral. Its design inspiration comes from Moscow''s church style, interior decoration is extremely rich, decorated with a lot of ICONS, mural, sculpture, fine wood paneling and by embossing and chase the icon panel made of metal.
Very cool looking Russian style church, with crazy colorful towers and spires and intricate pre revolution opulence.
True to its name, this church resembles Red Square's St. Basil's more than anything else. Besides being a great place to escape the heat of a summer's day, the interior is breathtaking and unlike any other place of worship in Nice.
