Nizwa Fort

Nizwa Castle was built in 1668 in the center of the old city of Nizwa, with Nizwa Bazaar and a mosque nearby. It was built as a strong defensive fort, and it is said that seven mechanisms were set up to defend against the enemy. In fact there are many such castles in Oman and Nizwa Fort is one of the very old and very large castles which has also been well restored in recent years. There is a museum inside the castle, showing the history of Oman and the life of the local people. There are various dark rooms, rooms and battlements in the castle. The storage room, prayer room, dungeon, and kitchen still retain their original appearance, showing a strong Arabian style. There is also a tower in the fortress. From the top of the building, you can see the endless palm garden, like an ocean.
