The Church of Santo Domingo is an ornate and colorful church in Oaxaca, built between 1570-1608, with a beautifully carved Baroque facade. Almost every inch of the church has intricate painted and gilded reliefs. The designer of the church is a Spanish Taoist priest, the founder of the Dominican Society. There are many vendors selling handicrafts in a square in front of the church door, very lively.
