Arc de Triomphe Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A Day Trip to Montpellier
Spent my day without school on a quick trip to Montpellier. We went there via bus for just 11 euros.
We visited the tourist spots around the city, but was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. I thought there would be more to see, or perhaps was it because it was inter?
Overall, still had fun and ate amazing food with great company.
Does anyone have some recommendations on things to do in Montpellier?#southoffrance #Montpellier

Arc de Triomphe
#mytripvlog
Arc de Triomphe is one of the Paris icons, the symbol of France's capital, located at Charles de Gaulle, at the end of Champ Elysse Boulevard.
Napoleon built this monument in 1806 to celebrate various victories of the French army under Napoleon.
The height of the tower is 45 meters; visitors can have access to the top of the building with ticket to enjoy the panorama view of Paris.

Visit the Arc de Triomphe in Montpellier.
Visit the Arc de Triomphe in Montpellier.
Montpellier Triumphal Arch, also known as Perou Gate, is located at the eastern end of Perou Garden near the city center. The reliefs on the arch display the four major events during the reign of Louis XIV. The surrounding park area is also conveniently located in the city center, next to the metro station.
Next to the Peiru Garden, there is a tall commemorative building. Two rows of trees stand neatly on both sides of the avenue. On the other side of the park, located on a high ground, you can see half of the city from here. On the other side of the monument, there is also an abandoned waterway. Under the stone building are beautiful arch bridges one after another. Occasionally, some small markets are held here, and local vendors sell some small trinkets. Both the park and the Arc de Triomphe are free to visit, just make sure to check the opening and closing times in advance. The Arc de Triomphe in Montpellier is much smaller than the one in Paris. The underground is a road paved with ancient bricks, and cars can drive in the middle. Unlike the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, it is not possible to make an appointment to enter the interior of the Arc de Triomphe in Montpellier. As a landmark building, it also attracts a large number of tourists. The Peiru Garden and the Arc de Triomphe are located in the city center and are not far from the art museum and botanical garden.

A MUST SEE during a first trip to Paris! Be sure to use the underground walkway to walk aroundthe monument. Don't try to cross the insane traffic circling the Arch!!! Great to see, got our picture, it is one of those must see if you are there. We didnt go to the top as there was a queue, but it is just as impressive a monument from the ground. It's location at the top of the Champs Elysee makes a visit all the more worthwhile.

Carcassonne Castle Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Visit Carcassonne Castle in winter
Carcassonne stands tall on a rugged rocky hilltop, with uneven and towering battlements, solid walls, and sturdy bastions. Carcassonne Castle, the largest medieval fortress in Europe, has endured over two thousand years of history. It fits most people's perfect imagination of a medieval castle and is an impressive sight.
The fortified town is surrounded by two sets of battlements and several stone towers, topped with unique 'witch hat' roofs. The main gate leads to a labyrinth of cobblestone alleys and courtyards inside the castle, which are now mainly lined with shops and restaurants.
To walk along the walls, you must purchase a ticket (9.5 euros) to enter the Count's Castle. The Carcassonne Tourist Office operates regular 1.25-hour old town walking tours (adult/child 6/5 euros), but unfortunately, it was the off-season in winter, and I couldn't enter the main castle.
An additional surprise was the fantastic Michelin meal I had in the old town, without having to wait or queue.
The Cité de Carcassonne is a medieval citadel located in the French city of Carcassonne, in the department of Aude, Occitanie region. It is located on a hill on the right bank of the River Aude, in the south-east part of the city proper. The walls of the city are 13 km long. For travelers visiting Carcassonne Center, Cote Cite is an excellent choice for rest and rejuvenation.

It is only 5 km from the castle of Peruturde to the ancient city of Carcassonne, which is so famous because it is the representative of the city of Carcassonne.
The ancient castle in Carcassonne is known as the largest and most preserved castle in Europe. It has a double wall of inner city and outer city. The inner wall is a Roman-style city block and the outer wall is a Gothic wall. The medieval castle is a solid soup. The shape of the castle often appears in cartoons.
Through the suspension bridge, enter the Nabones Bridge Gate, through the ancient street, you can reach the town center, stroll on the stone road in the Middle Ages, or walk around the ancient wall, the deep medieval style can not help but think of the Middle Ages Knight hero. Listen to the locals telling the story of the Romans occupying the castle or other castles, and the beauty and heavenly tranquility of the creation.
The castle was built in 1620. The owner of the castle, Bernard Perutitier, was appointed by the then young French King Louis XIII as the Minister of State Finance, and was highly appreciated by the King, thus opening the glory of the castle.
1910, the last Pei girl in the Peruturian family, Pauler Perutiye, inherited the castle. She then married the Christian Count of Brittany, Christian Rogeri. The manor and the winery have since been marked by Rogery.
In 1987, Nikola, the contemporary master of the castle, took over the castle and winery from his parents, continuing the castle that has been inherited for 10 generations and has a history of nearly 400 years. This castle is also open to the world along with its winery.

Pont du Gard Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Come here if you’re in the South of France
Thé Pont du Gard is an old Roman Aqueduct hidden in the South of France. If you’re in the area, this needs a visit.
Even in the winter, the views were impeccable. The structure is really big and has nice views of the trees, mountains, and some water. During the summer, you can swim in the water as well.
There is also an interesting museum nearby that you can enter for free as a student.

Pont Du Gard Bridge
The Pont Du Gard Bridge is the next historical tourist spot in France, and offers a very charming natural beauty.
If it is difficult to mention the name of the tourist spot, the popular name in Indonesia is known as the Gard Bridge, France.
The Gard Bridge is actually a water reservoir. However, because the Gard Bridge was built during the time of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, now the building has become a historic natural tourist destination.
Named the Gard Bridge because the architecture of the building is very similar to a bridge, despite the fact that it is a water reservoir.
The Pont Du Gard Bridge has three tiers of bridges. The tourists can do various kinds of tourist activities, including activities on the river which is located under the Pont Du Gard Bridge.
The location and address of the Pont Du Gard Bridge is in the City of Vers Pont Du Gard, France.

More than an hour's drive from Uzes, it is a very important attraction, the Guardian Waterway Bridge. A building with two thousand years of history and civilization.
Jade Waterway Bridge is an ancient Roman building with a three-story stone arch bridge. This is also a miracle in the history of building bridges in the West and even in mankind. Because of the extraordinary and historical witnessing role of architectural engineering, it is listed as a World Heritage List with a focus on protection.

Sophie's French travel notes
Avignon more than 20 kilometers away, there is a Gard Bridge Gard that is still in good use for more than 2,000 years and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The list is also a background image of the euro 5 yuan.
During the Roman Empire, bathing culture prevailed. In order to build a bath in Nim, where there was no water nearby, the Romans thought of building a canal to divert water into the city.
According to the habit, the canal should be buried underground to allow the river to flow, but a certain channel must pass through the Gard Gorge, so in the 30-40 years BC, the clever ancient Romans actually thought of using the most stable arch structure. A stone bridge that flows 46 meters above the river and 269 meters in length across the river flows across the Gard River. The upper layer of the
stone bridge is a u-shaped canal, the middle part of which is diverted from the bridge, the middle layer is a stable bridge and a carriage, and the lower layer is added after the Napoleonic period, so the color of the stone can be clearly seen. The entire stone bridge was built by artificially weighing up to 6 tons of giant granite. After more than 2,000 years of wind and rain, it is now possible to walk on the bridge and feel its sense of history.
The other side of the bridge walks across the river. The scenery overlooking the Gar River is beautiful. Many French people play water and row boats in the river. On the other side of the bridge, they can take the same view of the Gard Bridge as the Euro banknotes.

Arena is one of the main Roman monuments in Nimru, France . The
arena was built in the 1st century AD and was originally used as an arena and has now become a theatre. It is 21 meters high and has 2,400 seats. The 60 arches can be seen from the outside. It was used as a military fortress by the Gothic in the 5th century. The entire site is 131 meters long from east to west and 100 meters from north to south.
In fact, we have seen several in the arena in Rome. Of course, the majestic, the Colosseum is still unmatched.
This arena is well preserved, but scaffolding is everywhere, to be honest, it affects the photo.
We visited the arena with the signs, constantly climbing stairs and watching the arena inside from different angles of the arena.
Climb up the stairs to the top, overlooking the entire city of Nimes on the top floor of the arena.

In the evening we live in the city of Carcassonne, about two hours from Collioure
a medieval fortress city, the capital of the province of Aude. We stayed at the Carcassonne Relais & Chteaux, a castle hotel with a golf course that has a history of more than 300 years.
There are two restaurants in the hotel, one of which is a Michelin star, but it is not coincidental that we were out of business on the same day. We can only go to another one. If you can get the Relais & Chteaux certification, the food will not be bad. So we are also eating and enjoying.
Actually, the reception place is not big, but it is not the same when shooting with wide angle. Therefore, taking out the camera with the lens is also very important, but also to balance, so there is a lightweight body is best for girls.
Each room is a suite, each room is different in decoration and design, but it is a French court style. Whether you are a small public or not, it will be attracted by its temperament.
