Sponza Palace, as the only remaining ground building after the great earthquake in the 17th century, is integrated with the big clock tower, as if time has been frozen in the Middle Ages. This former customs building, the noise and noise that once passed away like the wind, is now part of the Dubu Historical Archive. Apart from the building itself, there is no other place for viewing.
Sponza Palace was built in 1516. The design combines Gothic and Renaissance styles. The courtyard in the middle is completely surrounded by arcades, showing unique architectural features. Originally used as a customs building, Sponza Palace became the center of the Republic’s culture at the end of the 16th century. Sponza Palace is now open as a tourist attraction. It is located next to Luza Square, next to the high-rise clock tower.
The only buildings left after the earthquake were too strong.
On the main street square of the ancient city, the entire building is Gothic-Renaissance style, and the entire ancient city is actually built around this palace. Now there are many shops on the main street of the square, which are relatively commercial. The square is very lively at night, and the square artists sing very beautifully.
The palace building is very luxurious and elegant, worth visiting
