A dinner during the Thankgsgiving holidays with family was made very special by Pablo Marrero our waitperson who beyond being informative and professional went above and beyond to make the dinner memorable.
My go to place for special occasions and when someone says they can't find a great steak. I've had many of there steaks but the last 3 times I've gone with the 10 oz filet. It's melt in your mouth and tastes how steak is supposed to taste. Add in the crispy calamari and the warm bacon dressing on the spinach salad, the mashed potatoes, and glorious mushrooms and it doesn't get any better. I've eaten at Peter Lugar's in NY and this is the closest I've come.
I expect excellence when I order a $50 steak. At the Capital Grill I have never had bad service or bad food. From our first step in the door we were greeted and treated well. I have found myself choosing this restaurant anytime I want a celebration to go exactly right. We were celebrating my parents anniversary. P.S. - they have the best cheesecake in the world!
If its steak you are after in Orlando, it doesn't get better than this. I visited twice in 2 days. The first time they were out of the "Filet on the bone" which I was after. The regular filet I had on the first night was "good but not excellent". On the second night the Filet on the Bone was up to expectations. Wine selection was superb but somewhat pricey. Overall a good experience.
Wonderful service and our appetizer caprese salad was high quality - exceptional- BUT the entree and sides were definitely lacking, especially for the price. Our steaks were overcooked and the sides were over seasoned and just not impressive when you consider the high price. Unfortunately we are no longer interested in returning since we feel we can get a way better value elsewhere and parking close can be a pain.
