Oriel College is not located in the Central District of Oxford, where Oxford Colleges are relatively concentrated. It is situated outside the city in isolation. The college was founded in the early 14th century and has a long history. But its architecture was rebuilt in the 17th century, so it was Jacob-Gothic. On the whole, the college has a good environment and classical beauty.
This beautiful university is one of Oxford's oldest colleges, the Medieval Foundation founded during the reign of Edward II. It's a mixture of medieval churches. The original building of the vestibule has long been demolished. The vestibule can be traced back to the time of Charles I. Behind the high table sits a portrait of Edward II.
Apart from the accommodation area, the main body of the college teaching area is the three-way courtyard. The first is the dining room and the chapel. The dining room is in a large room similar to the church, with three rows of long tables, just like the Harry Potter Hogwarts restaurant.
You can come here by old-fashioned urban rail transportation. This college was built in the early 14th century and has a long history.
Very famous college, the environment is beautiful.
