Alhamdulillah! Finally afta 4:30 (u guys wud be able to reach d peak faster if u skip 1 hour of photo shoot..hahaha), i'm here. Standing on top of the highest active volcano in Southeast Asia at d altitude of 3805m 🏔 Unfortunately, sparks of red lava and clouds of gases rising up from the crater making it impossible to stay there for long because of the smell!! Therefore, we only spent about 15 minutes up there & missed the extensive views of Indian Ocean, Gunung Tujuh, Gunung Marapi, Gunung Raya just to name a few..sighh

Sumatra's highest volcano. I took an 8-hour car from padong to the town under the mountain. It took 2 days to climb the mountain from 2000 to 3,600, and climbed the highest peak in Sumatra for 12 hours.
