The Jacques Mar André Museum is also worth visiting. As the capital of art, Paris, visiting such museums can greatly improve the personal aesthetics. For example, this museum shows us a lot of France Art boutique
It looks very beautiful. The entire museum is worth seeing not only its internal products, but also its building itself. I think it is like a small palace. The works inside are all fine pieces from several central areas during the Renaissance.
Don't feel like trekking out to Versailles and baking in the sun (or freezing from the lack of it)? Fear not, Jacquemart-Andre is here! I'm a little late in discovering this museum but I'm so glad I did. The former dwellers of this luxurious mini mansion were bourgeois, with beautiful ceiling murals and close attention to detail such as the gold outlines on each and every door. There are several beautiful paintings that anyone can relate to!! My personal example: for the math nerd who may or may not enjoy going to museums - a bust of the son of the man who hypothesized and proved what are now called "L'hopital's rules" sits in one of the smaller salons. There are temporary exhibits in one of the rooms upstairs, too. And of course, there is a well-to-do cafe attached to the museum.
Probably my favourite museum in Paris! It's a mansion from the 19th century, kept as it was originally, with an amazingly interesting and compact art collection. Most interestingly, it lets you peer into the grand lifestyle of the haute bourgeoisie of the time, as portrayed by the likes of Maupassant and Balzac...
It was a great experience after 3 hours of walking, especially the temporary special exhibition, totally worth the price and time to visit some of the most famous museums in Paris. It is more characteristic than Louvre or Ossetia, and feels like an organic whole, the collection and home decorations and the need for life are tightly combined, not simply for variety and comprehensiveness, perhaps because it was built by the masters of the past, The selection of the collection also strongly reflects its individual art taste.
