The Paris Museum of Art, which opened in 2007 behind Madeleine, is a private museum. The annual special exhibits are worth seeing. There are often exchange exhibitions, such as the Mexican Jade Mask, and there is a cafe nearby, which can be reached without the purchase of Museum tickets.
Inches from Place de Madeleine, Pinacotheque is a sizeable 5,000m2 art venue and is Paris' top private museum. A fitting name for its open-minded booking policy, pinacothêkê is Greek for 'box of pictures' and exhibits range from archaeological discoveries to contemporary art and design. Since its doors opened in 2007 it has hosted exhibitions seldom seen in France. Retrospectives from artists like Roy Lichtenstein, Edvard Munch and Jackson Pollock have all graced its walls, along with Mayan masks and China's Xi'an Dynasty warrior statues. It organises three to four exhibitions per year.
The building is similar to a small castle, with Rodin's works of different periods scattered in the garden, such as "thinker", "Hugo", "kiss", "Eve on the rock". There are also sketches and watercolours, second only to the Paris Museum of Art. Entering the second floor, you can also enjoy the famous paintings of Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh collected by Rodin.
There are many exhibits in the gallery and many visitors.
Very good place. Very good place.
This is the city of art. Museums are everywhere.
We visited the art gallery for the first time and wondered why someone would create a private art gallery in Paris in the 21st century. We enjoyed this visit very much. This is a modern exhibition about Leonardo Da Vinci. The exhibits are based on Leonardo Da Vinci's Atlantic manuscript and the model designed and manufactured by Leonardo Da Vinci. Because this gallery is mainly on tour, what you can see when you visit depends entirely on your interests and what happens to be on display during this period of time, but it's a great exhibition space, very intelligent.
There are many masterpieces in the collection. Of course, it's worth a visit.
The Paris Museum of Art is exquisite. The works of art here are all very modern buildings. The exhibition areas of many works are very beautiful.
Art galleries are everywhere in Paris, the absolute capital of art.
