Pont Saint-Louis isn't a remarkable bridge by itself, but it joins two of the most coveted locations within the city (the two islands in the Seine).
The Pont Saint-Louis connects the small and charming Ile Saint-Louis to the gardens at the back of the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a beautiful place to stroll and take in views of the Seine, but also a great spot for music lovers to see free shows. At all hours of the day, year round, musicians come to play jazz, gipsy-jazz, acoustic guitar, etc (many times with a full band), to the delight of passerby. Because the bridge is pedestrian only, it is not uncommon to find dozens of spectators sitting on the sides of the bridge, enjoying the show. Makes for the perfect end to a summer date as well.
The bridge that joins the two islands in the middle of the city in the center of the Seine near to the Notre Dame.
The bridge is 67 meters long and 16 meters wide. It was completed in 1970. Regardless of the young age of the bridge, its small scale and no shape, but it leads from Saint-Louis Island to Citadel Island. The only way.
The bridge is less than a hundred meters away, and it mainly connects two adjacent islands. The bridge is quite spacious and can pass 4 cars. There is no too much decoration on the bridge. It looks very simple, but it is really important. .
