The Sainte-Chapelle was built by King Louis IX of France to preserve the crown of thorns and cross fragments from the crucifixion of Jesus.
I think the Sainte-Chapelle is more worth visiting than Notre-Dame Cathedral. The screen is full of stained glass, which is very delicate.
One of the most breathtaking buildings I have ever been in. It is incredible. The stained glass is beautiful. As you go up the narrow staircase and see all the colors and light shining through the windows you'll forget everything but this view. It really is amazing. Well worth the 10 euros or so definitely see it if you're in Paris!
While I think the price to enter is a little steep at €10, the windows are so breathtakingly beautiful, it’s definitely a must see! This is very close to the Notre-Dame, so very easy to do right after. Take note that the stairs to get up to the main part of the church are very steep and narrow!
Small, but gorgeous. Get there early to ensure you won’t have to wait in line that long. The inside of the chapel is breathtaking.
Absolutely breathtaking. The stained glass windows in the high towers are truly amazing.
