Beautiful!
A gem on the left bank of Seine. Beautiful exterior, with gargoyles. Old stained glass inside. I have assisted at a 15 minute organ rehearsal, splendid!
Eglise Saint-Severin is quite an imposing building. We came across it while wandering around the streets of the Latin Quarter. The architecture is spectacular and it is just as good inside. Worth a vi...
Located in the 5th Arr, stands this gothic church, (we especially love the gargoyles), built in the mid 7th century, standing the test of times,(after a couple of rebuilds), surrounded by lovely tigh...
A lovely old church with interesting stained glass
We stopped in here between our visits to Notre Dame and the Cluny Museum. The architecture is grand, as are most churches here, and the stained glass is interesting. It is very modern glass and posi...
Saint Severin, Paris is a church that is a remarkable site, both in architecture and age. The church is named after a pious hermit who usually prayed at this site. Upon entering the church, you will make greeted forwith grandiose organ and stained glass windows dating back to the 1400s, both tower high over the pews. A commanding area in the focal point of the sanctuary is joined by a chorus of columns comprising about interesting coils that branch out at the top and weave into each other like treetops. The components that make up the church are as dominating as the church itself, which has influenced an extensive part of the city.
A treasure of Saint Michel area, 13th century. One of the most beautiful gothic church in Paris.
This place is definitely worth seeing when in Paris. I absolutely loved the stained glass windows throughout and the ceilings.
We looked at this church as part of a Gothic cathedrals of Paris walking tour given by Context Travel. It is a intriguing example of Late Gothic Architecture. The exterior has a flamboyant style rose window. In the interior, the deambulatory includes an unusual pillar in the form of the trunks of a palm tree.
The churches in foreign countries are like this. The churches in big cities are larger, and churches in small cities are very small.
Beautiful church, not particularly famous, but the oldest church in Paris, with a relatively plain exterior, but a rather beautiful church with a nice interior
