Stopped by on our way driving to Cape Tribulation from Port Douglas. The Discovery Centre takes about1 - 1.5 hours and is a myriad of pathways that you can take using an audio guide. There is a souvenir shop and cafe. The entry fee is about $37AUD from memory.

There is nothing like diving at the Great Barrier Reef. There are many places in tropical North Queensland you can snorkel or scuba dive to see the Great Barrier Reef. We chose to take an overnight boat from Cairns and did two intro dives (we aren&rsquo;t yet certified but now definitely want to be!) and multiple times snorkelling. We saw a manta ray, cuttlefish and nemo (clown fish). There are parts of the reef that look like they are dying but if you go on a boat further out from the shore we found it to be a better experience. Also.. the sunset is absolutely magical!!

You must visit the 130 million year old Daintree Rainforest if you&rsquo;re in tropical North Queensland! We went on a day trip from Port Douglas in a hire car. You can spend a whole day there if you plan properly or if you want longer there are multiple camp spots or eco lodges but one day could be enough. Book a croc river tour in the morning with Crocodile Express or Bruce Belcher&rsquo;s tours which we did. Then drive towards Cape Tribulation by going across the river by ferry and stopping at the Daintree Discovery Centre, you&rsquo;ll need an hour or so there to make the entry fee of about $30AUD worth it. Continue towards Cape Tribulation stopping at the boardwalk walks that take about 20mins each (there&rsquo;s about 3 along the way). Grab some organic ice cream while you take in the sounds and smells of the one of the world&rsquo;s oldest rainforests!

Visited Jervis Bay and surrounds on a south coast road trip with friends. Travelling from Sydney it takes about 2.5hours and there’s many stops along the way such as Wollongong and the old historic town of Berry. Hyams Beach which is famous for the whitest sand in the world is in Jervis and a must-visit.
