#phukettrip Our trip to the Big Buddha was stunning! If you love interesting architecture, do visit the Big Buddha. It was made of granite and white marble so it gives out cool and calming energy. The statues were really amazing and they had a meditation class. I would recommend doing the 7 minute happy meditation while you are here! Tranquil peaceful vibe! We enjoyed a serene and breathtaking view from the top too. The sunset was very beautiful.

I had tired the ATV in Phuket, although it was raining heavily, but it was so much fun. Unlike the ATV rides I did in other countries, this ATV ride was through Jungle. There are four options to choose, half hour ride, 1 hour ride, 1.5 and 2 hours ride. If you choose 1+ hours, you can visit the big Buddha as well. I think 1.5 hours ride is the best. This ATV ride is a bit challenging, especially when raining. it may not be easy for people who never rode ATV or a car. But you can still try. I have recently visited Phuket and realized it is indeed an island that is more than just beautiful beaches! One of the most incredible spots is the Big Buddha. Not only can we learn more about the religion of Thai people, it is also an amazing viewpoint that no one told us about! We have already noticed the Big Buddha on the way as it is located on top of the mountain. It looks so huge from afar. You will need to climb some stairs before you get close to the buddha itself. The architecture is stunning and you can see the attention to details. As we climb to the top, the view here is so scenic overlooking the islands and seaside, just like a viewpoint! Make sure you do NOT wear sleeveless clothes and short pants when you visit the Big Buddha because it is considered impolite for Buddhist. It is really an important point to note! As we did not know before we go, we need to get the sarong (150 baht) outside of the entrance to cover the knees and wear long sleeves jacket. Big Buddha, Phuket, is opened from 6am – 7.30pm daily, meaning it is accessible during both sunrise and sunset time overlooking the beautiful sea. We visited the Big Buddha Hill in Phuket, Thailand. We stopped for lunch in our way up the hill where we enjoyed delicious Thai food with stunning views of Phuket. After lunch we continued to the Big Buddha. There is no entrance fee. There are 360 degree views of Phuket and nearby islands. You can choose to join the prayers led by the monks in one of the several shrines and get a blessing for your trip. The place is very well organised and clean. There are public toilets and also small restaurants where to buy some food and drinks. You shouldn't miss this spot when visiting Phuket. Totally recommend!

Amazing trek..completed upwards journey in 1.5 hours and down in 45mins Can be dangerous in dark or after heavy rain. Carry water bottle and get a stick with donation at the start of the trek. At the top there is place for meditation and couple of viewpoints. The head guardian of The Big Buddha himself delivers 7 mins meditation lesson. There are multiple shops as well at the top for coconut, water, ice creams etc. #hiking #phuket #buddha

Phuket Big Buddha is located on top of a mountain. The Buddha statue was made of white marble, breathtaking. From there, you can see the beautiful panoramic view of the island, and also the skyline of Andaman Sea. It is one of the most popular attractions in Phuket. If you are wearing short sleeves, you may borrow a scarf at the entrance to cover your shoulders. This is a sacred religious site, please dress respectfully.
