A Great statue in Thailand what a Beautiful view .....
Phuket Buddha is a Myanmar white marble Buddha Avalokitesvara statue, facing the eastern Panya Bay, back to the Andaman Sea. The Buddha is the largest statue of Buddha in Thailand. Even those who have no faith look up at the Buddha's feet and look at the White Jade Buddha against the blue sky and white clouds, their hearts will be shocked. Twenty minutes'ride by ATV will take you from the foot of the mountain to the top of the Buddha. Because the Buddha is situated at the highest point of Phuket Island, the top of the mountain in the southwest, it can be seen from many parts of Phuket Island. Visitors can climb to the top of the mountain to enjoy the beautiful view of the island.
The statue is massive with excellent view of the city. It's a saint place, so no smoking and dress code. But, they give you clothes for free to wear. So, no worries. And, lot's of unusual souvenirs that worth to take something as a memory. Came there by motorbike. Personally, I think it's hard to come by foot.
Near Chalong Bay, the top of the hill overlooks most of Phuket, but what is more shocking is that the Buddha has not been built yet. It relies on the donation from the people one brick by one tile. Even so, the scenic spots still don't receive any money. No tickets, no incense money, only voluntary donations. In the interior of the Buddha, only the monks in the reinforced concrete have been chanting sutras and feel very pure. Belief, admiration!!!
first time in thailand and went straight away to see the big buddha. it was such any amazing experince but unfortunatley its not yet complete.
