About Pingshan: Pingshan County is situated in the west of Hebei province. It is known for its beautiful natural scenery and rich history. The remains of the capital city of Zhongshan (a small state that existed during the Warring States period) are located here. It is one of Hebei's most popular destinations and offers a wide range of landscapes including mountains, caves, forest, grassland, lakes, waterfalls and hot springs. The Chinese Communist Party established its base here during the Civil War.
