Croatia is a country located at the intersection of Central Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Balkans. It looks like a crescent moon on the map. Croatia has a long coastline, the longest among the Balkan countries, with beautiful scenery along the way; it has over 1185 islands, earning it the nickname 'Country of a Thousand Islands'. The most famous is Plitvice Lakes, where 16 natural lakes are connected, with a large amount of calcium carbonate limestone deposits in the lakes, presenting green, gray, blue, etc., forming an ultimate natural landscape.
☘️
Speaking of Croatia, one must first mention Dubrovnik, also known as 'King's Landing' in the famous 'Game of Thrones'. Even if you're not a fan of the show, it's more customary to call it King's Landing, as it seems to show the grandeur of this ancient city.

Heaven on earth…Plitvice Lakes National Park
We travelled around the world in 6 weeks and one of our favourite stop is Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. In 1979 Plitvice Lakes National Park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, due to its outstanding and picturesque series of tufa lakes, caves, connected by waterfalls. The national park is world-famous for its lakes arranged in cascades. Sixteen lakes can be seen from the surface. There are 7 walking trails that are split between the Upper and Lower Lakes of the National Park. We arrived late morning by car from Port of Split as it took 4 hours and were only able to do 2 walking trails. Despite only covering 2 routes, we had spectacular scenery throughout the walk and stopped to take lots of photos. I highly recommend arriving in Zagreb as it only takes an hour from there to Plitvice Lakes by car or bus. You will then have a full day to cover at least 4 walking routes without rushing and everywhere you walk, you would want to take your time to enjoy the picturesque waterfalls and cascading lakes.
Plitvice Lakes National Park
The Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and the largest national park in the Republic of Croatia. The exceptional natural beauty of this area has always attracted nature lovers.
Plitvice Lakes are reachable on a day trip from Zagreb, Zadar and Split. However, we recommend spending at least one night in the area to allow you to experience everything the park has to offer. With this in mind, plan at least 2 days for visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Although visitors aren't allowed to swim in the lakes directly, just few kilometers north of the National Park, swimming is possible!
If possible, spend at least one full day at the lakes to make the most of your day trip to Plitvice. Of course, it's also a good option if you can spend the night over, but visiting Plitvice in one day is doable
The best months to visit Plitvice are June and September.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at least 2 days prior to arrival. You can also buy your entry tickets at the Park, but with the risk that they will not be available because the number of tickets per hour is limited because of possible overcrowding.
Lightweight clothing like T-shirts and shorts are a must as well as hats, sunglasses, and sunblock.
Amazing day!

【Dubrovnik, Croatia Travel Guide】
Are you attracted by the ancient city with red roofs, the blue sea and the beauty of the islands? Then, Dubrovnik in Croatia is definitely one of the travel destinations you can't miss in your life!
✨Walk on the city wall: Climb the ancient city wall, go around the old city, feel the magnificent scenery, you will be shocked! At sunset, the scenery is even more incomparable.
✨Take a cable car to the top of Srd Mountain to watch the sunset: You can go to the top of the mountain from the cable car station outside the north gate of the ancient city, you will see a 360° panoramic view of Dubrovnik, with beautiful scenery in your eyes. Then have a sunset dinner at the highest restaurant in Dubrovnik, it's so romantic!
✨Wandering in the ancient city: Truly feel the history and culture of Dubrovnik, walk into those narrow alleys, climb those steps with a sense of history, visit various relics, it will definitely leave a deep impression on you.
✨Sea activities: Experience water activities such as kayaking, enjoy the fun and challenge of the sea.
✨Special experience: Find the shooting spots of Game of Thrones, explore the scenes in the drama, it's also a lot of fun!
✨Accommodation suggestions: Because the roads in the old city are mostly bluestone roads, they are not accessible by car, and there are hundreds of steps to enter and exit the city, so it is not recommended to live in the old city. It is recommended to stay in a hillside homestay facing the sea outside the old city, with direct access to the highway, and overlooking Dubrovnik.
✨Itinerary planning: It is recommended to plan a 3-day itinerary, D1 visit Banje Beach and the fortress, then take a cable car to the mountain for a sunset dinner; D2 visit the old city and the city wall; D3 experience sea activities such as kayaking.
✨Best season: The climate is pleasant in May-June and September-October, and there are relatively few people. July-August is hot and crowded with high prices, but the sea water temperature is good. It's cold and rainy from November to April.
I hope this guide can help you! Get ready to start your dream trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia!💖✈️🌊
Dubrovnik - a Balkan Paradise
Dubrovnik is famous for being the location of Games of Thrones, but it's so much more than that. Dubrovnik Old Town is staggeringly beautiful with imposing towers, picturesque streets and a stunning view of the Adriatic Sea.
The tourist traffic can be overwhelming during the summertime. I went there last April and the crowds were manageable.
Food is expensive inside the Old Town (about 20euro per meal, ugh) but there are cheap eats when you venture out of the tourist hotspots.
Go visit!#dubrovnik
Getting There - you can join a cruise or fly into Dubrovnik. You can also travel overland from nearby countries (Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro)
Attractions - The lovely Stradun, Old City Walls and the resorts in Lapad
Hotels - accommodations are kinda pricey
Food & Restaurants - food is also expensive, but there are plenty of options. Have a gelato and pizza
Shopping - The souvenirs inside Okd Town are frightfully expensive
Hidden corners in Old Dubrovnik 🇭🇷
Dubrovnik is a pearl of the Adriatic Coastline and you will understand this term as soon as you visit it. The old town is surrounded by massive walls and the panoramic views are filled with typical orange rooftops. This city will have you walk endless stairs, but you will certainly come back for more – that’s how beautiful it is. During summer, the sunset created amazing golden light for your photo and you will be able to capture the beauty of Dubrovnik. #tripblazers #mytripvlog #beachlife #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #summervacation

[Traveling around Eastern Europe] 16 lakes
said that the sixteen lakes in Croatia are small Jiuzhaigou, and this changeable color is really dreamy. I guess it is difficult to go to Jiuzhai once in this life, so I am very happy to see the European version.
Waterfall Although the water volume is not very large, the momentum does not lose.
There are free shuttle buses and barges in the park. There are a variety of hiking routes to choose from. It is very user-friendly and suitable for different levels of walking enthusiasts.

Although small, Šibenik offers so much. First of all, this is one of the oldest cities in Croatia, whose name is mentioned in a document of Petar Krešimir IV, and dates back to 1066, and for this reason, the city is nicknamed "Krešimir's city". Old city core of Šibenik includes 24 churches, 4 fortresses and 4 wells. This is also a city located in an incredibly beautiful bay, that you will fall in love with at first sight.
Šibenik also has its own aquapark, which is the first in Dalmatia, it is the Solaris aquapark. Solaris includes a wide range of family and social attractions, games and attractions suitable for children of all ages and adults. I would recommend to everyone who happens to be in Croatia to visit Šibenik, as well. Šibenik, in addition to its rich cultural heritage, also offers plenty of entertainment.
