Port Douglas Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Port Douglas 🌴
Port Douglas is a chic, yet relaxed seaside village, perfect for couples, families and solo travellers alike, with a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets, a plethora of restaurants and bars, not to mention fantastic boutique shopping. The village is also the ideal base to explore the World Heritage-Listed Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation with an abundance of tours and day trips available.
Disconnect from the digital world entirely and spend a few nights in the World’s oldest living rainforest, the Daintree, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature.
Where does the Rainforest meet the Reef?
Wow, Port Douglas feels like living in dream! This dreamy town really surprised me by it’s beauty. This town is all about relaxation, really tropical yet casual.
Whether you’re looking for adventure or looking to chill out on the beach this seaside town has something for everyone!
I only stayed here for 1 night as my trip didn’t allow to extend at the time but I so wished I had been able to stay here for a few weeks.
Four mile beach was my favorite - but not because of what you may think. We found a dog rescue centre where you can help take the dogs for a walk and give them some love. (Really dog is a man’s best friend) It was so great to be able to do something so small that I really enjoyed!
The beach isn’t heavily sandy, so it’s great for jogging - and the sea breeze was just perfect!
Next time I go to Australia, I will be back to Port Douglas for sure!
📍Rent a car from Brisbane or other city and drive at your own pace to North Queensland. (Or you can hop on / off the Backpackers bus)
💰Port Douglas was a little more pricey than some other seaside towns, but 100% worth the price!
Take me back!

To find the purer waters of the Great Barrier Reef, from Cairns all the way north, 70 kilometers away, Port Douglas Port Douglas sailed. In the northern outer Great Barrier Reef, I met Agincourt Reef, Akincourt Outer Reef.
In another blue dream of forgetting to breathe,
said good night.
Port Douglas is such a magical place: along the Captain Cooks road, all the way to the end of the rainforest, and the vast expanse of the wilderness, plus a little sea blue embellishment, all kinds of wonders gather here. A picturesque place.
Because the scenery here is beautiful and beautiful, it has attracted many celebrities to come and find out, and has attracted many visionary investment developers to carry forward the natural characteristics here. Whether it's a golf course, a rainforest nature reserve, a pier filled with luxury cruises or a street full of high-end restaurants, the natural and modern interlaced views are confusing.

Wildlife Habitat Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas is an open safari that provides visitors with an open environment to interact with wildlife.
This two-hectare wildlife habitat has a wide variety of animals waiting for us. According to the animal's habits and species, the habitat is divided into four major ecological zones: wetland ecological zone, rainforest ecological zone, dry ecological zone and forestry ecological zone.
This is the only place in Port Douglas that can hug a koala.
Walking along the beautiful and winding coastline of Port Douglas, the sun shines on the sparkling sea, and the "Brinburi" shines. At this time, we always want to capture the dolphins jumping. When the beautiful coastline is gradually disappearing, welcome to the wildlife habitat. Let's leave the dolphins out of reach and play an intimate game with the wild animals here.
This two-hectare wildlife habitat has a wide variety of animals waiting for us. According to the habits and types of animals, the habitat has been divided into three major ecological zones: wetland ecological zone, rainforest ecological zone, and grassland ecological zone.
The wildlife of Port Douglas has a variety of animals, of course, the most attractive to me, or the kangaroo, after all, is one of Australia's unique animals. There are more than 40 kinds of kangaroos. There are 2 kinds of kangaroos here. There are short-tailed kangaroos in Western Australia. They are very small and very good. Animals are really small and cute.
The male kangaroo has a well-developed chest muscle and feels that the fight is absolutely powerful.
In fact, most of the temperament is docile. When you are sitting there, you can do whatever you want. It can't be better.
Mossman Gorge Centre Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Mushroom Jun's Australia Travel
Australia, Queensland
Mosman Gorge, with an ancient rainforest. The guardian of the rain forest - Kukuyujilan, "Cuku" means "to mention", "Ulanji" means to this place, "to mention this place" - "Kukuyu Rangi".
Before entering the rainforest, there will be a short smoke ceremony, which is the way Kuku is used by the Langji to remove bad luck and purify themselves.
Sunlight rushes down from the forest, passing through the smoke, forming the light of Jesus. The ceremony became sacred. The Aboriginal language of the blessings in the mouth of the guide, people lined up and walked clockwise around the bonfire. The ceremony ends when the body is covered with smoky flavor.
There are telephones and weapons in the jungle, called red cedar trees. The oldest trees in these jungles will rumbling when struck by stones. If someone is injured in the tribe, they will use stones or branches to strike the arched roots and call for help from other people in the tribe. Rock-solid roots are often used as shields and flying sticks.
There are oil paints and tattoos in the jungle, called the meteorite. This is a natural pigment extracted from stone and earth. The red meteorite is called Mula, which symbolizes life; the yellow one is called Makirr, which symbolizes the sun; the white one is called Bingaki ( Bingaji), symbolizing the soul.
There are soaps in the jungle, there are musical instruments, there are cottages, and there are foods. I used to think that there are only trees and animals in the jungle. Now I know that there is everything in the jungle that needs life. The more you understand nature, the more you fear nature.
The Mossman Gorge Pristine Rainforest is located in the town of Mosman, Queensland, Australia, and is a 20-minute drive from Port Douglas. Although not as spectacular as Daintree, strolling in this natural oxygen bar, taking a deep breath, is absolutely refreshing.
Mosman Canyon has different walking paths with different difficulty, ranging from 400 meters to more than 2 kilometers. The daytime temperature from December to March is about 31 degrees Celsius, and from May to August is about Celsius. 26 degrees, all seasons are suitable for travel.
Drived from Cairns Airport in Queensland, Australia for more than an hour, I turned to countless bays, beautiful beaches, jungles, and the Mosman area, known for its tropical features such as rainforests and rivers.
It was a shock to the hotel I booked: the Silky Oaks Lodge was hidden in a pristine jungle, where all the rooms were wooden houses, and the legendary tree house was like this. I am looking inside, is it the fairyland of Alice, or the paradise of the seven dwarfs?
Four Mile Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
If you are looking for a beach with a good view and environment in Cairns, I would definitely recommend a four mile beach.
This beach is located in Port Douglas. It is called Si Li Beach, probably because the beach is just 4 miles in length.
This beach is white and long, and the sand is excellent, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. On a sunny afternoon, the locals like to come and go, or lie on the beach for a sunbathing
there are also plenty of sea projects to experience, like paragliding, jet skiing and more. Or, you can do nothing, just like the locals, lying quietly on the beach, feeling the sun and the beach, so comfortable life.
