It was fascinating to visit this beautiful site and learn about the famous irrigation system. The park was clean and immaculately cared for. We took the shuttle bus out to see the further sections of the irrigation system. We hired a private tour guide to assist us and found him to be knowledgeable and helpful in that he took care of the purchase of tickets & helping us navigate the park. The second time I came, the last train, this time I took a taxi. Chengdu took a taxi to Dujiangyan for about an hour and more than ten minutes, more than 100 yuan. Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain are very close. We plan to run all day, so we set off early from Chengdu, entered the Dujiangyan Scenic Area at 9 o'clock, and came out at about 11 o'clock. Go quickly and visit Dujiangyan for 2 hours. Go out of the scenic spot on the left hand side of the South Bridge, is a small ancient town, eat lunch inside, and then go to Qingcheng Mountain.
The scenic area has beautiful scenery and good protection. I have seen a lot of knowledge about water conservancy facilities for more than 2000 years. You can enter the park by directly swiping your ID card when you book a ticket on Trip.com. If you come to the scenic spot from Chengdu to do a train, you must book a round-trip train ticket in advance. You can't grab a ticket at the station. The taxi cost is about 100 yuan.
