1. Introduction to the exhibition hall
Chengdu Shuijingfang Museum is a "living" experiential museum that integrates an exhibition hall to protect and display the original appearance of the Shuijing Street Distillery site, a demonstration production site that reproduces the traditional brewing techniques of Shuijingfang Liquor, and a special Shuijingfang Liquor experience area. The use of sound, light, painting, and video multimedia and zero-distance sensory experience make the museum no longer stand coldly in the audience's sight.
Chengdu Shuijingfang Museum includes four exhibition halls: Wine History Hall, Heritage Hall, Skills Hall, and Brand Hall.
The Wine History Hall introduces the origin of Chinese wine culture and the characteristics of distilled wines in the world.
The original site of the Heritage Hall displays the excavated ruins of Shuijing Street Winery dating back more than 600 years, including various relics such as the drying hall, wine cellar, stove pit, ash pit, and ash ditch, as well as cups, plates, bowls, dishes, etc. Various blue and white porcelain wine sets and tableware relics comprehensively restore the prosperity of Shuijing Street Winery's "front shop and back shop" 600 years ago.
The Skills Hall reproduces the 600-year-old traditional brewing technique of Shuijingfang Liquor with real production scenes. The ancient Shuijingfang wine production line, including drying halls, cellars, ancient wine-making tools, etc., is still running vividly, with the moist and warm old cellars, the fragrant lees, and the busy brewing masters. , giving the audience a sense of time and space reversal. Among them, in the blending interactive area, viewers can prepare and taste Shuijingfang wines under the guidance of professional sommeliers.
The brand hall uses a combination of display boards and physical objects to show the audience the scale of Shuijingfang Company, its cultural management philosophy, special products, and its concern and support for public welfare undertakings.
2. Architectural features
The building of Chengdu Shuijingfang Museum was designed by the famous architectural designer Mr. Liu Jiakun. It presents the architectural characteristics of Western Sichuan folk customs and strongly demonstrates the traditional architectural culture of Chengdu. The overall building is based on residential buildings, deformed appropriately, and uses staggered techniques to soften the boundaries and make a smooth transition with the texture of the protected area, making the museum a link between the residential textures on the west and south sides and integrating them into one. The exhibition hall is designed with a streamlined patio and courtyard, and the exhibition hall and patio are arranged alternately, which reflects the complementary meaning of architecture and nature.
A relatively small museum, accidentally passed by and then went in to visit, very meaningful, learned about some processes of liquor manufacturing, and some historical photos of the Quanxing team that year haha, and finally there is a wine tasting link.
