Bo'ao Buddhist Temple

Boao Temple is located in Boao Water City, Qionghai, Hainan, the site of the Boao Forum for Asia, which is world-famous. Boao Temple has a total construction area of 60,000 square meters and a total investment of 1.3 million yuan. In October 2000, Mr. Jiang Xiaosong, Vice Chairman of Boao Forum for Asia, President of Xiaoao Group and Founder of Boao Water City, personally funded a statue of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva with a height of 9.9 meters on the Lotus Dun in Wanquan River. At the end of 2002, Mr. Jiang donated another 5 million yuan to officially build the Boao Oriental Culture Garden, which is mainly based on Boao Temple. The first phase of the master plan in March 2005 was completed and opened to the public.
