Linqiong Ancient City is one of the four ancient cities of Bashu. It was built in the 14th GengYuan year of the Emperor Qinhuiwen (311 BC). It has a history of more than 2,000 years and is the hometown of Zhu Wenjun, a woman of great talent in the Western Han Dynasty. Linqiong Ancient City is a major city that provided the western exit to Chengdu on the southern part of the Silk Road and was a cardinal channel to Yunnan and Tibet. Since ancient times, it has been renowned as a “wine center”, “tea town”, “scenic capital” and “silk city”.
