The lake is 80 kilometers long and 380 meters deep. This is great. The day we came here was the only rainy day out of the 10 days we spent in New Zealand, but it made the trip even more beautiful. We took the Earnslaw steamship and it was worth every penny spent. It is a magical old ship built in 1912. Can't wait to come again.
We had a few hours of time, so we decided to go to Lake Wakatipu. I'm glad we did this, because we learned a lot about the basic situation of the lake during this visit, and also learned how Queenstown was first settled down, and we also saw many places of interest along the coast. Great value for money!
Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown are mutually dependent and complementary. The lake has created the lake and mountains of the town, and the town has brought the huge popularity of the lake. The lightning-shaped Lake Wakatipu is New Zealand's third largest lake. It has a winding shoreline, surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. It is a must-see attraction when planning a trip to New Zealand. To visit Lake Wakatipu, the most suitable point is Queenstown on the north shore of the lake. I experienced 3 ways of viewing and I was impressed by the beauty of the lake. 1. Aerial bird's eye view. Take the Skyline Cable Car from Queenstown to Bob Peak. The viewing platform on the top of the mountain is the best place to overlook the lake. The photos taken are indeed the masterpieces of New Zealand scenery. You can also skydive and have a look, which is more exciting and cool. 2. Cruise by boat. Take a steamboat (or catamaran, speedboat) cruise on the lake from Queenstown Port to enjoy the lake and mountains up close. The lake breeze is blowing, the waves are blooming, the scenery is charming and refreshing. 3. Take a stroll around the lake. The shoreline of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown is very long. You can stroll around the shore in the early morning and evening. The mountains are towering in the distance, the lake is clear in the distance, the blue sky and white clouds above, birds and birds playing in the water, like entering a fairyland.
There is a Lake Wakatipu in the center of Queenstown, so the lake is very beautiful and you can see it immediately. There is a park by the lake, and many people like to walk or picnic. There are also many seagulls.
Jet boats, steam boats, paragliding and other activities on Lake Wakatipu are Bibiyi, but calm down, slow down, and use another rhythm to discover her beauty. Every view of the lake and mountains is a picture!
