Since the French artist Auguste Bartholdi created the Statue of Liberty for New York, Americans in Paris sponsored a smaller version, the Statue de la Liberte, which stands on a little island in the Seine River. You can see it from the bridge of Pont de Grenelle, or from a boat cruising down the Seine. To get even closer take the steps leading down from the bridge to a wide path that goes under the bridge and which leads to the base of the statue.

Garden
The tranquil heart of Paris is focused around a magnificent fountain, enclosed by botanical diversity, and is flaked by lovely cafes and art galleries. The gardens of the palace where the Sun King spent his childhood were designed in 1630 for Cardinal Richelieu but today serve as a quiet respite within the city where visitors can enjoy a meal in the sun or shop at one of several delightful boutiques that sell everything from historical figurines to upscale gardening tools.

Le Bois de Boulogne is not only for the vacation. Indeed, even Parisians go there to relax and appreciate the city's green environment. Only west of the city, its magnificence has propelled crafted by Monet and Van Gogh. There are picnic grounds, sailing, angling and bicycle riding. The two lakes along the east of the recreation center offer wonderful trees, islands and perspectives of the cascades. At the recreation center's inside is the Pre-Catalan, a hustling club with a lovely garden and an outdoors Shakespeare theater. There's a zoo, pontoon rides and small golf at the recreation center's Jardin D'Acclimation. The family can spend a day or two there having an incredible time.
