One of the best museum exhibits I've seen, Amsterdam DNA walks you through the history of Amsterdam with some amazing interactive features. Every section you watch a new video which concentrates on the stories behind certain objects. As you move through the exhibit you realize the objects they used in the video are the ones on displayed. No longer are you just looking at things behind a glass pane, there's a story behind it that really connects you to the past. Along the way, you take a quiz to find out in the end what kind of Amsterdammer you are. Really fun and interesting. They also have rotating temporary exhibits on a variety of topics.

The Amsterdam Museum offers an expansive collection of items that retell the compelling story of the Dutch capital, from the earliest develelopments through the surge of growth in the Golden Age and up to the present

The Amsterdam History Museum was every bit worth the visit. Just viewing the paintings of the city by the Dutch Masters is worth the price of admission.

Easily reachable from Hotel Pulitzer by tram or metro, the Amsterdam Historic Museum holds different exhibitions and events throughout the year, reflecting the history of Amsterdam and The Netherlands. This place is certainly worth while visiting.

This museum contains all the history of the city: how it was built, how the first people came here, how it was under foreign dominance and much more. I really enjoyed the way they combined tons of info with multimedia: it made everything more interesting.
