The Little Arc de Triomphe was built to celebrate Napoleon Bonaparte's victory in a series of wars in 1805, opposite the Louvre Museum. Between the red and white marble columns are three circular arches, which are luxuriously decorated. The four horses at the top of the door were gilded galloping horses from St. Mark's Church in Italy. The original was returned to Italy in 1815 and is now a reproduction. Bronze horses are gilded goddess of peace and victory. The Arc de Triomphe passes through the Louvre and there are many tourists around it.
