There are many art schools in Cambodia where people can learn traditional crafts, learn how to make legendary crafts, and make saleable crafts after they have learned. Elephants are very popular because they imply good luck.

This is a scenic spot in Siem Reap and a souvenir shop where you can watch how these beautiful souvenirs are made. We like this store very much. Everything is made by hand, and it is made locally in Cambodia, not wholesale from home and then let tourists buy it back. In addition to sculpture, there are men and women's silk clothes, accessories, skin care products, kitchen utensils, cooking spices and so on, advocating environmental protection and health benefits, the concept is good.

Siem Reap, Cambodia. In the alley near the old market, near the river. There are many small open handicraft factories to visit, you can see the production process of handicraft products. I think you can comment that the handicraft products sold are made in this way, and what is the public interest behavior, as soon as you see that you are led by the tour, too young too navie. How can such a large amount of sales be made by several small shacks? It's just a show for you to buy. After visiting the shop, there are a lot of things, which are two or three times more expensive than those on the market, but the quality is better, maybe because of psychological reasons, packaging is also good, which is good for sending people.

The lecturer of Siem Reap Silk Farm was patient and showed us mulberry field, silkworm rearing room, dyeing room and silk weaving room. Wait for a series of silk production process, we watched the ancient textile machine spinning technology, very characteristic, weaving silk brocade feel very good, smooth, bright color, very matching Cambodian characteristics of the pattern.

The Angkor Academy of Arts and Culture is a public welfare institution in Cambodia. It was completed in 1992 and is located in a lane near Siem Reap Night Market. This is Cambodia's education department, which set up a traditional arts and Crafts Vocational and technical school to preserve the heritage of Angkor Wat's ancient civilization and art. Here we can learn the traditional techniques and professional skills of wood carving, stone carving, silverware, lacquerware, color painting, silk painting and silk. School workshops are available for visitors to visit. The Angkor School of Art, though small in scale, has lush tropical trees, flourishing flowers and sculptures of figures everywhere in the garden. Red walls, green trees, stone paths, winding paths, very Khmer amorous feelings, like a beautiful garden school. The craftsmen of Angkor Art School own 20% of the school and own their own trade unions. Their wages are higher than the Cambodian average. Among them are deaf-mute, disabled and young people from poor families. They depend on their own resources and work with both hands to pursue their happy life. The first picture on the left is a shop in the Angkor School of Art. It contains craftsmen's carefully carved stone, wood, silk clothing and daily necessities. Wood-carved Khmer Buddha's smiling head is a special commemoration of Angkor Wat tourism. Those who like to collect it can see more. There are also coffee cold drinks shops out of the shop, selling coffee, milk tea, drinks, coconuts, boxed instant noodles and other snacks. To see more pictures, click on Travel Notes "Explore Angkor, Cambodia, and see the original tropical exotic customs of Southeast Asia" I took 41 pictures.

This is an art workshop set up by a French charity for poor students in Cambodia. There are scenes showing their work and art sales hall. Its silk scarf is the best in the world, with excellent quality, and Buddhist stone sculptures, silverware, mahogany carvings and silk products.

We visited several workshops there. It was very interesting. Sometimes we touched this one and that one. The children liked it very much. The guide's explanation was also in place, so we learned some knowledge about Khmer technology. After the visit, it was a boutique shop. The goods were exquisite, but the price was a little expensive. For many tourists, this price is a bit difficult, but we still bought some lovely little things. First, there was a promotional activity at that time, the discount cost-effectiveness was good. Second, these hands took a lot of time and energy, and they really worth the price.
