Ateneo di San Basso Review

St. John's Baptist Church is a white octagonal Romanesque building. Children in Florence are baptized here, including celebrities such as Dante and Machiavelli. Three bronze doors in the Baptist Church are carved with bronze reliefs of the Old Testament story, two of which were made by Ghiberti, which Michelangelo called the "gate of heaven" and which opened the Renaissance.
