The Black Temple and the White Temple are both in the Qinglai Palace. Although there is no white temple famous, nor the kind of shock that the white temple brings to people, there are many things worth seeing in the Kun temple, which is a place that needs to spend more time. The Black Temple, also known as the Black House, is not actually a temple, but the home of Thawan, a Thai artist. Thawan designed the black house as hell and death. Therefore, there are many exhibits related to this theme in the Black Temple, such as Buffalo skulls lined up on the ground, animal fur and large shells on the table, giant seats made of buffalo horns in the hall and hunting tools of primitive tribes. In addition, there are many modern installation art expressing the theme of death in the black temple, such as using stones to display sacrificial totems of primitive tribes on the grass in front of the temple, and using large white animal fur to create a world of "death" in smaller temples. Walking into the exhibition hall of the Black Temple is like walking into a temple of ancient times. The depth of the hall is more than ten meters high, and the high roof gives people the illusion of reaching the sky directly. Sunlight shines through the windows on both sides, but only illuminates one corner of the hall. The rest is hidden in the nihility of darkness. The two worlds of light and darkness are distinct, and entering them is like shuttling between the world and the gloom. It is said that many of the exhibits have a history of thousands of years and Thawan collected them from all over the world with all his efforts. The external environment of the Black Temple is very good. It is a fresh idyllic scenery. There is no legendary gloomy terror at all. But maybe it's another scene when night falls.

The Black Temple is the private museum of Taipei's renowned painter Tagun Datsani. It is mainly a house made up of many wooden houses covered with black paint. After 36 years of accumulation and collection, the owner turned his house into a showroom of "Talking about Death". When he came to the entrance of the Black Temple, he could see at first sight a teak main hall with orange tiled roof. The pure black gate wall combined with four top slopes, each slope was decorated with four Phoenix tails like Buffalo horns, which made the whole hall more magnificent. When we entered the main hall, we found that the wooden craftsmanship of the house was quite exquisite. The number of crisscrossed columns and beams was not enough. The screen doors displayed with carving techniques were quite ancient. The stubborn bust of the main tower was surrounded by fake flowers. A mirror frame was placed on the back of a golden foil cock behind the plaster statue. It showed an old man with white hair and long beard, which was somewhat like Zhang Daqian. The artist in the painting is the father of the black house, Ta Dieng. Now, although the master has passed away, all kinds of treasures in the house were designed and placed by him in his lifetime. For example, there is a snake skin of a python in the main hall, and two very large black crocodile skins are laid flat on the wooden board. There are also some archaeological bone specimens, such as the antelope, the antler deer, and so on, as well as the king's chair tied with water buffalo horns. It shows that the owner of the house really liked animals before he died. After visiting the main hall, there are many black wooden houses with unique appearance. There are various kinds of air-dried animal fur, ancient animal skulls, horn fossils, as well as hunting guns and sacrificial utensils. These collections are not simply placed, but interpret the unique conception and inner world of the owner of the black house by means of artistic creation.
