Bang Pae Waterfall Review

Because this is a national park you need to pay an entry fee that is a bit high for foreigners but the entrance fee is worth it. There is a toilet near the parking lot. Hiking is easy and definitely for families. As you climb through the rainforest along the river, you hear gibbon calls from a nearby rehabilitation center. The hike ends near a series of waterfalls that make up the perfect pool. It is an interesting way to spend time outside the beach. Nice small hike. My 4 year old can walk to the waterfall and come down easily. 200 baht per person regardless of age. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the waterfall (we have 3 kids). On the way up, you can stop to see the gibbon and a rhino. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as the roads are rocky and a bit slippery. There are areas where you can swim. People jump into the water from the stones next to the waterfall and sit below the waterfall. There is a lounge. You can also have a picnic. Don't do this if you don't want to wet yourself. We came here on the same day of our tour.
