Battery Park, located at the southernmost tip of Manhattan, is named after Battery Park, built in the 19th century at the southern tip of Manhattan Island in the 17th century. It became a green space in the Stony Woods at the southern end of Lower Manhattan, near Wall Street, in front of South Ferry Battery Park, the south pier connecting Manhattan Island and Stanton Island, and looks out for 7-11 years. Hugh's Statue of Liberty and the busy New York Harbor are all in line to board a ferry to Liberty Island.
