If there must be a reason to go to Argentina, then my answer is: I am here for the Moreno glacier! 🌿 Argentina has a rich tourism resources, not only Ushuaia at the end of the world, but also the famous Iguazu Falls, but I have a special interest in Al Calafat, because there is not only the romantic town of Al Calafat like South France, And the big ice hike that I want to dream most in my life! 👀 We made a trip to El Calafat, Argentina, from Nasles Port, Chile, and booked a bus ticket to Moreno Glacier the next day on the first day. We also booked a big ice hiking group online in advance. Moreno glacier is a small number of active glaciers still advancing in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz, at the southern tip of South America. The Moreno glacier is 20 stories high, stretching 30 kilometers and has a history of 200,000 years. So we were shocked when we first saw it, but I was looking forward to the next day's hike because I could walk on this 200,000-year-old glacier and think about it! If you want to get close to Moreno glaciers, people who come will generally have three different choices: 1️⃣mini trekking , low-difficult challenges, although they will climb, but they will not go to the interior of the glacier, and they cannot feel the purest and most spectacular glaciers 2️⃣ big ice, which is the one we choose, In fact, there is still a certain difficulty, because you will wear ice claws, when necessary, the coach will wear a tractor rope to ensure that you walk safely, so as not to fall into the ice cave. 3️⃣ Cruise, the most relaxing one, but the experience is definitely not as good as the previous two. The cost of big ice is about 1500rmb per person, it is best to prepare a pair of better walking shoes and sunglasses in advance, and light clothes! It takes about 10 hours from departure to the end, of which the hiking time is about 6 hours, it is still quite difficult, you can bring some snacks from the town, because there is no supply during the hiking process. 🌈 Although hiking is a big challenge, believe me, if you have to climb this glacier in your lifetime, you must be proud of the whole life, what is a fairyland on earth, I think only here is really worthy of this praise! 🎗 Tips:🔅 Argentina Visa: Argentina has opened electronic visas now, only need to hold a visa for designated developed countries to apply for electronic visas, every November starts to enter the peak season, must start applying one month in advance. 🚗 Transportation: There is an airport in the small town of El Calafat. If you enter by land like me, there is a bus on the Chilean border that can be reached directly.
