Brabo's Monument Review

The Brabo Fountain is a landmark of this famous Belgian city. The fountain is a sculpture designed with a unique artistic feature. The fountain is located in the square of the Antwerp Municipality and is a place where tourists from all over the world often pass by.

I think some modern sculptures might have similar ideas today! But on this day, all the characters' full nudity, their positions and overall scenes weren't welcomed by many. The bronze piece, called the Brabo Fountain, was named after a mythical Roman soldier, Sylvies Brabo, who apparently killed a giant named Drue Antigon, cut off his hand and threw it into the river; hence the description he did so at the top of the sculpture. Rambo's fame was for his ability to portray power and movement in his work, and this is no exception! He is clearly a talented artist. Unfortunately, decades later he did not see the broad embrace and appreciation of his sculptures, which are now much loved and imitable.

In front of Antwerp City Hall, Brabo Fountain is a must-see tourist attraction. It's a baroque fountain. The fountain gushes out of the rubble under the sculpture. Although it doesn't understand the story of the statue very well, the fountain itself is very beautiful.
