Cape Borda Lightstation Review

The Cape Boda Lighthouse was built in 1906 and has been officially opened since 1909. It is located in the seagulls in the southwest corner of Kangaroo Island. It reaches the remote Cape Boda from the Rocky River Highway to the south. It stays for 10 minutes to feel its desolation.

The lighthouse was built in 1909 in Flinders Chase National Park on Kangaroo Island because of the frequent sea disasters in the area. It is not as popular as the Willoughby lighthouse, but it is worth a visit.

Cape Boda Lighthouse is located in the northwest corner of Kangaroo Island, built in 1858, it is one of two lighthouses in Flinders Chase National Park, and the other is the Cape Kuedik Lighthouse in the southwest corner of 1909. There is also a Cape Willoughby Lighthouse built in 1852 at the eastern end of Kangaroo Island. The three lighthouses on the island are still in normal operation. The Cape Boda Lighthouse is the cutest of all the lighthouses on Kangaroo Island. This lighthouse, which is more than 160 years old, is shaped in a unique square shape rather than the usual roundness of most lighthouses. The lighthouse district houses museums and kiosks, offering refreshments and souvenirs, and the museum displays the remains of the nearby wrecks and items used by the lighthouse guardians at the time. There is also a restored signal gun around the area, which usually fires at 12:30 p.m. A pedestrian path is set around the lighthouse that leads to the top of the cliff. The Cape Boda lighthouse is open from Friday to Tuesday and provides a timed guided tour. From the magic rock to the Boda Point lighthouse, it seems to be only about 58 kilometers, but it is basically a loess road, we drove for an hour and 40 minutes. It was too late and I took a photo. On the way back to the accommodation, it was all night driving. After thinking about it, I was a little scared. You know that Kangaroo Island is not within the car rental insurance range after 6 pm. We went to Kangaroo Island by boat from Adelaide and stayed on the island for three days and two nights. I rented a car after going to the island and lived in Kingscott's Far Away Escape B&B. On the first day, I went to Cape Willoughby Conservation Park and the American River; the next day, I set off from Seal Bay, then Little Sahara Desert, Breeze Bay, Hansen Bay, and all the way to Flinders Chase National Park; On the third day, I went to Kingscott, Tsuen Wan lavender fields, and Pennshaw.
