Central Radio and Television Tower, a national-level 4A attraction, is located on the west side of West Third Ring Road Middle Road, Haidian District, Beijing, near the Aerospace Bridge, east of Yuyuantan and Diaoyutai, south of Princess Tomb, Beibei Cheng Road. The Central Radio and Television Tower was built in January 1987, completed in September 1994, and officially opened on October 1. The central radio and television tower covers an area of 15.4 hectares, with a height of 386.5 meters, plus a lightning rod with a total height of 405 meters and a total weight of 50,000 tons. It is a multi-functional modern landmark with 8 TV sets and 10 radio sets. It is the third tallest tower in China and the sixth tallest tower in the world.[1] The tower is a member of the World Tower Association and a member of the tower committee of the China Radio and Television Association.
