Following the Chicago City Pass play series, I feel that it can be the first stop for the Chicago Museum to play. You can learn the history of the city of Chicago. From the beginning of the Great Fire, the formation of the city of Chicago and the wind and rain. The museum was built in 1856 and is the oldest cultural institution in Chicago. In 1871 and 1874 encountered two fires, and then in 1932 built the current new pavilion, the pavilion has two floors, the first floor of the main exhibition introduced the history of Chicago's development, there is a small theater will do historical film explanation, it is recommended to watch the movie first, in the opening of the museum tour, In the film, we learn about a serious fire in Chicago in 1871, which almost destroyed the entire city's housing buildings because the buildings were mostly wooden buildings, and thus the modern Chicago city buildings that now house the skyscraper. The Chicago Water Tower became one of the few surviving buildings and thus became a landmark in Chicago.

📍 The first stop of Chicago History Museum Chicago Tour arranged the History Museum, which was a wise move. There is a small theater in the museum, which will tell the historical development of Chicago in an interesting way. There are interactive exhibits in the museum, which will focus on the city development of Chicago. It also makes the museum trip not too boring. The museum itself also has a story. It has encountered a fire twice. Gradually from research institutions to the current museum, the museum has permanent exhibition halls, portrait galleries, Western Mirror Hall and other exhibition halls, and irregularly updated special exhibition theme, I feel that this is also a popular museum for parent-child travel.

I had an hour before I left Chicago so I stopped for a short visit. I wish I had more time to explore! The exhibits were super fun and I found myself wanting to spend a lot of time reading the history and information of all the memorials. The most interesting thing I learned was that the name Chicago came from, and they had a really cool old-fashioned subway car that you could sit in. My only complaint (although I don’t feel there will be a real solution) was that the tour group being led was so loud that I was distracted while I was trying to explore alone. Overall worth a visit!

The Chicago Museum of History has only two floors. It's not a big place and has plenty of exhibits. The city, which had been burned down by a fire in one third of its main urban area, now seems to be largely benefiting from that fire, which has led to urban renewal and reconstruction. If you walk around a circle, you will unconsciously think that this is such a magnificent city - in fact, it is an excellent expression of curatorial ability.

Visit the Chicago Museum of History. Tickets are 19 dollars. Chicago's history must mention big fires. The fire lasted three days from October 8 to 10, 1871. Three hundred people died, nine square kilometres were burned and 100,000 people were homeless. Economic losses amounted to $220 million.
