Parish of Santa Maria Maggiore Review

The Church of Notre Dame of Trieste, located near the Unified Square in downtown Trieste, is the most important Catholic Church in the area. It has a long history of Baroque style buildings, magnificent, grayish-brown and yellowish exterior. It has a large main hall, with paintings of the Virgin Jesus on the walls around it, and many works of art in the side hall.

The Church of the Virgin of Riast is not far from the Unification Square. On a small slope, there are steps up. The highlight of the church is a miniature painting. There are many paintings inside that are very vivid and can be described as a major feature.
