There are three separate areas in Penang called Chinatown. They have developed at different times in the city's history and can be called the Old Chinatown, New Chinatown and China Trade Block. New Chinatown also has a history of more than 130 years. In addition to these three blocks, seven blocks and Armenian Street within the Penang Heritage Enclave are also today the Chinese neighborhood of Georgetown.

Malaysia Chinatown, this Chinatown is a very famous night market snack street in the local area. It is also the place where Chinese people gather the most. I had a friend there before. She said that every time I went to this street, it seemed to be back to China. There were many domestic snacks here.

When you come to Penang, you must stay in a hotel in Chinatown near Guangda Mansion. You can take a free bus (CAT) or walk around Chinatown to find murals, take photos and taste delicious food. It's too hot at noon when summer comes. It's better to take a lunch break in the air-conditioned room and start activities after 4 o'clock. It's dark at 7:30. The bus runs to 10 o'clock. It has plenty of time and is a very interesting city trip.

Lovely walk, lots of charm and character. This is seriously an Asian foodie's heaven, with evidence of traditional Chinese culture. Expect to smell amazing food of the Gods along with the spicy smell of smokey incense.

Malaysia as a whole country is interesting due to its mix of different cultures and religions, but there are few better examples of this than the city of George Town on the island of Penang. Due to its history as an important trading port, people came from many parts of the world to settle here,

Chinatown is not far from the airport. It's about 15 minutes'drive from the airport. On the opposite side of the Golden Coast, there are many Chinese shops selling souvenirs, clothes, gourmet food and so on. There are quite a lot of items. It's good to choose some souvenirs to take home and send them back.
