Located on the east side of Bispetorvet Square in the centre of the city, Aarhus Cathedral has a towering central square, the deepest church in Denmark. The easternmost is the original 12th-century Romanesque auditorium, while the rest is mostly 15th-century Gothic architecture. The church was quiet and solemn, the huge organ was set on the wall, the melodious organ in the church fluttered, and the people in it became quiet.
