The Grand Place (Grote Markt), which is the central square of the city was first one me see it when me reach Brussels. It is registered on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO and it is absolutely beautiful. It is surrounded with the guild houses, City Hall and Maison du Roi. I have seen the place in daylight and at night and they are both just as lovely.

The City Hall of Brussels is very striking in the complex of the Grand Plaza in Brussels. It's a standard Gothic building, and the tall spire is its most obvious symbol. The city hall also maintains its administrative functions, which are open to the public after 4:30 p.m. every day. You can visit the designated area or climb to the top of the tower to overlook the entire Brussels Plaza.
