City of Chicago - City Hall Review

The only reason we went was that both my fiancé and I were Blues brothers, and we felt you couldn't go to Chicago and see where Jack and Elroy were running from law enforcement in almost the entire city of Chicago. We walked through the revered Richard J. Daley Square and “see where they got Picasso” and walked straight into Cook County Town Hall. I was surprised there were no metal detectors, but there were signs that there were no guns, which was right, guys, just please don’t have weapons. Maybe there's a metal detector upstairs? It's great to be able to walk around. We didn't go to the assessor's office. But it's probably lunchtime, so he might be back in five minutes. We asked a police officer if there were any signs or plaque dedicated to the Bruce brothers, and we asked the officer if there was any oversight before giving us a blank stare? The officer came over and talked to us. Very nice lady. She was unfortunate to tell us there was no sign (which was disappointing), but she was able to share some gossip about how they made the film and where they were filmed. Some facts we knew, some new facts, but we enjoyed the visit. Even if you're not a fan of the Blues Brothers, the interior is gorgeous, the architecture is beautiful, and everyone is very nice and polite to us. We were there the whole time worried and worried, we would get kicked out or yelled for taking pictures, but most of the staff preferred to give us information. Maybe they should start travelling to the Bruce Brothers or Alcapone.
