The Colosseum (Colosseo, Italian: Colosseum), formerly known as the Flavian Amphitheater (Amphitheatrum Flavium), is also translated as the Colosseum, Colosseum. It is the place of the ancient Roman Empire for slave owners, nobles and free people to watch the Colosseum or slave gladiators. Built in 72-80, it is a symbol of ancient Roman civilization. The site is located in the center of Rome, the Italian capital, in the south of the Venetian Square, near the ancient Roman market. The Colosseum in Rome was included in the World Heritage List as a cultural heritage by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 1980 as part of the historic centre of Rome.
