Constitution Hill as three, somewhat intertwined, points of interest. It is the site of an historic fort, parts of which were later utilized as a prison. In the early 1900s Ghandi was imprisoned here. During the apartheid era, male political prisoners were sent to Robben Island, women prisoners were imprisoned here. Today, the Constitutional Court has its chambers here. All tours are guided and take anywhere from one, one and a half, or two hours, depending on which length you choose.
