Venza is known for its elegant architecture designed by 16th-century architect Andrea Paladio (Andrea Palladio). It includes Palladian Cathedral and Chiericati Palace, which is now home to the gallery. Nearby, also the Palladio theater, the Olympic Theatre replicates the classic outdoor theater indoors. On the outskirts of town, the villa on the top of the hill has four identical exterior walls. The Cathedral of Paladiana (Basilica Palladiana) is a Renaissance building in the central square of Vicenza in northeast Italy (Piazza dei Signori). The building is characterized by a veranda, one of the earliest examples of Paladian windows designed by the young Andrea Paladian.

Vicenza and Palladio are inseparable pairs, because the former does not exist without the latter, and the latter, while having worked in other provinces, concentrates on this area his most outstanding masterpieces. Today Vicenza is one of the largest cities in Italy. Since 1540, most of Paladio's architectural works have been created in Vicenza territory, helping to profoundly change the face of the city.

Palladio is a hero of Vicenza. There are too many Palladio shadows left in this small town! There is the famous Paladio Museum on the road, which chronicles the brilliant life of this great architect!

The name of Vicenza is closely linked to the great Western architect Paladio, and besides this street, the city is even called the “City of Paladio”!
