It is also an important scenic spot in Sri Lanka and a holy place of Buddhism. The most famous are the five grottoes. The Grottoes here are very difficult. They cut a hole in a huge rock and stand in the cave to find many Buddha statues. It can be seen that the project is huge. It is said that it took hundreds of years. Now the Buddha statues inside the cave are well preserved, especially the beautiful murals. After thousands of years, the color is still very vivid. The reason why the color is so good is said to be related to the use of a local plant pigment, so long time does not fade, it is not easy. The last grotto, though small in scale, has its own characteristics. In order to prevent bats from coming in, there are also ultrasonic devices. The ceiling here needs attention because there are many very beautiful murals. And there's also a phenomenon here where a spring slips across the roof. In the fourth grotto there is a white pagoda, which is said to contain a lot of jewelry. After that, the mason was given a batch to go forward, hoping that he would go far and fly high. Unexpectedly, the man was more successful and publicized everywhere. Finally, many gangsters not only killed the mason, but also came back and robbed the whole stone pagoda of its treasures. Since the Hinayana Buddhism is respected here, the basic worship here is one of the Buddhas of Sakyamuni.

World Heritage Site - Danbul Grottoes is the largest and most famous and well-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. A small half-day tour of the grottoes is arranged, and the impression of 4 o'clock is still fresh. 1. The ancient caves. Danbuler Grottoes were built in 89 BC (one said 1-2 century AD), earlier than the Mogao Grottoes built in 366 AD in China. After more than 1,000 years of unremitting efforts, 5 caves and caves were formed between the rock walls of the boulders (186 meters high). 2. Like the beauty. The 2100 square meters mural and 157 Buddha statues in the grotto are all the treasures of Buddhist art. The most beautiful murals. The Buddha statues in the grotto No. 2 - Dawang Grottoes are made from the top and the walls of the caves. The most beautiful statues. Grottoes No. 1 - The 14-meter-long reclining Buddha in Tianwang Grottoes is huge, peaceful and line-by-line. 3. Fun of monkeys. From the foot of the mountain to the grotto, it takes more than 20 minutes to walk on the mountain road with more than 400 steps. Along the way, the view is wide, the air is fresh, and the monkeys can be seen in groups, or play, or play, or exercise. The locals told: store shoes, not to prevent people from stealing, but to prevent monkeys from grabbing. 4. Feet pain. Take off your shoes and you can enter the hole to show piety. Hot sand, lame stones, footboards hurt so much... Nobody ever reminded to wear thick socks.

I have to say that the ecological environment of Ceylon is good, the house has no industrial pollution, and the most animals seen in major scenic spots in the past few days are wild monkeys. There are too many, afraid of being robbed, and the bag must be taken. In addition, there are many temples, which are as golden as Xishuangbanna. The Buddha statue of the Grotto Temple is just a look, it feels very general.

The entrance ticket costs 2000 rupees per person and can only be bought at the ticket counter at the foot of the hill. From there we had to climb many flights of stairs to reach the entrance of the temple. The view of the the surrounding area on the way up was spectacular. Before entering the temple we had to remove our shoes so wearing socks is recommended. Remember to wear modest clothing that covers your knee and shoulder while visiting sacred sites. There are lots of street sellers outside the temple selling sarong. It is also possible to rent a sarong to cover your knees before entering the temple.

The largest and most well-preserved Cave Temple in Sri Lanka, built on a huge rock hill in the south of Danbra City, has a history of more than 2,000 years. This place of pilgrimage by Sri Lanka is just like the place of pilgrimage of our Tibetans in Lhasa. What is reflected here is the charm of Buddhist art. I am looking forward to the difference between the influence of Buddhism here and that of China. The sun was very hot at 8 o'clock in the morning. Six of us came here in the hot summer and bought a ticket for 200 rupees. Later, we realized that if we didn't go directly to the museum and go up the hill next to it, would we not want the ticket? It's not expensive to go in. Do Buddhist places have to be built on high places to create a sense of awe? Or is it that a practitioner needs to live in a high place to cultivate himself? Anyway, there's nothing interesting about a circle in the museum. After coming out, I climbed the hillside and went to the grottoes. Along the way, monkeys were playing along the roadside, but it was also lively. The so-called Golden Buddha should be the one you see when you enter the door. It's very tall. It can only be seen from a distance, but it can't be approached.

Parked the car, entered the scenic spot, the first thing that came into view was a golden Buddha bell ringing. When you are in the situation, a huge golden Buddha in the sun like fire, directly into the clouds, radiant, afternoon sun hot and shining on the face of the golden Buddha, in the flowers, the perspective of the golden Buddha is actually that kind of matched insight into the meaning of the world. My friend said that I have gone up the mountain. I hurriedly said that you have not bought the tickets yet. You can't go up. Otherwise, it will take 20 minutes to buy it. It is very troublesome. The driver said that this temple does not need tickets. I took a good photo and followed it up the mountain. May not be sports for a long time, I walked this slope up the mountain road breathless. When stepping into the temple, a staff member sat and saw that we did not ask for tickets. After entering, I found that the Grotto Temple is different from the unusually brand new Golden Buddha guarding the Grottoes at the foot of the mountain. It is simple and quiet, as if it is a temple that does not eat fireworks. I walked slowly, watched slowly, picked up the camera from time to time to shoot, and my friends who went there reminded me several times not to take pictures, let Buddha sit quietly, let the murals not be disturbed by the oxidation of light, I really can't help but want to put it into the camera, waiting for me to play back again. There were not many people to visit, the five grottoes were not big, and it only took half an hour to visit slowly.

Danbul Grottoes - Sri Lanka's largest and most complete Buddhist grottoes, where there are 157 Buddhist statues and many color murals painted with natural tree sap, have great religious art research value. In 1991, it was listed in the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. When we came here, we were first frightened by the monkeys all over the mountain. They were not afraid of people, they were free to run wild on the way people must go. They were sunning and itching. They didn't put the world heritage in their eyes at all. They were just their paradise. Because people came here to enjoy the monuments in endless numbers, they also had food to live on, which was also a great miracle.
