Located in the east of Banpengcheng Village, Dapeng Town Street, Shenzhen City, on the south side of Longtou Shishan Mountain, overlooking Daya Bay, with a beautiful and elegant scenery. It covers an area of 4000 square meters. Dongshan Temple was built in Hongwu 27th (AD 1394). A generation of geomantic master visited Dapeng Bay. He passed through the Longtoushishan Mountain of Dongshan Mountain and found that there was a purple glow. This was a lucky light. He told the local villagers that it was a scenic spot and that building a temple here could keep one side safe. So Dongshan Temple was built. The history of Dongshan Temple has undergone three renovations so far. The first rebuilding took place in the spring of the fourth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1854). Now there are inscriptions on the archway in front of the temple, such as Jia Yinchun's rebuilding of in the fourth year of Xianfeng (1854 A.D.).
