Used to play a much more important role in Belgium's economy before European integration, and most stock trading went digital. Nevertheless, it is still an interesting visit.

De Beurs is a 19th century stock exchange built next to St. Nicholas Church . It has a historical background from the appearance, but unfortunately it can't be visited inside.

What used to be the stock exchange is now a beer museum. It costs €17 and you get a beer included. It was fun and interactive.

The Brussels Stock Exchange was established by Napoleon in 1801 on the northwest side of the Grand Square in Brussels. On September 22, 2000, it merged with the Paris Stock Exchange, the Lisbon Stock Exchange and the Amsterdam Stock Exchange to establish a pan-European exchange and renamed the Brussels Pan-European Exchange (Euronext Brussels).

The Bourse of Brussels is the stock exchange of the country. While a handsome neoclassical building in itself, the Bourse marks the border between the old town center and the more modern district of the city with many chain clothing outlets and fast food restaurants along Boulevard Anspach.
