This ancient street built during the Qing Dynasty in Doumen Market, Doumen Town, was built after the Opium War in 1840. The total length is about 500 meters. Most of this street is a unique arcade with a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles, including cloth shops, department stores, rice shops, Chinese medicine shops, etc. It reflects the bustling scene here in the past. Now most of this street has become individual merchant shops, selling local specialties, crafts, and local specialties "duck buns" and their taro cakes. In addition, there are tea restaurants, noodle shops, etc. We arrived on the third day of the Golden Week. Fortunately, there are not many tourists here, many shops in the street are not open for business, worry about walking this street in about 45 minutes to finish, tired to find a favorite restaurant to sit down to replenish energy.
