Beautiful lagoon in the heart of honolulu. The sand could do better but is an amazing place for families or an afternoon off. Just come and soak up the sun and dip into the nice warm water!

Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is a very beautiful place, and there are not so many tourists here, the scenery is very good. It is especially convenient to come from Waikiki Beach, and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset view here.

Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, Duke Kahana Moku Peng Lake, whose official name is: Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Lagoon, Duke Paya Kahana Moku Peng Lake. Duke Kahana Moku Peng Lake is located on the southwest coast of the southeast corner of Oahu Island, Hawaii, southeast of Magic Island (Magic Island), Kahana Moku Peng Lake (Kahanamoku Lagoon), and Araway Boat Port (Ala Wai Boat Harbor); Wuhu is adjacent to the Hawaiian Hilton Village, and the famous Rainbow Building (the Hawaiian Hilton Village Rainbow Building) is on the northeast lake of Wuhu. To the south of Wuhu, the west section of Kahanamoku Beach (Kahanamoku Beach), the eastern end of Kahanamoku Beach is connected to Drusiburg Beach (Fort DeRussy Beach), originally a military reserve of Fort DeRussy, walking southeast along the coastline is the authentic Waikiki Beach (Waikiki Beach); To the south of Kahanamoku Beach is the sea, leading to the vast Pacific Ocean. It should be noted that Lake Duke Kahanamoku is not Lake Kahanamoku. In fact, Duke Kahanamoku Lake and Kahanamoku Lake are separated from the waters of the Aravey Boat Port and the narrow land area of Aravey Boat Platform, parking lot and Wuhu Beach. Of course, Duke Kahanamoku Lake itself is not big, just a small artificial shallow pond in Honolulu's Waikiki area, which takes only 20 minutes to walk around the lake. The lagoon is part of Henry Kaiser's Hawaiian Village development, built in the 1950s; In 1961, Hilton acquired Kaiser’s Hawaiian resort; in 2006 it cost about $15 million to renovate the lake, with boardwalks, palm trees, and a small island. You can swim in Duke Kahana Moku Lake. It is suitable for all year round, just because Hawaii is summery, neither hot nor cold, and suitable for all ages. It is worth mentioning that every weekend, there is a fireworks show on the shore of Lake Duke Kahana Moku Lake. The type of life has a thousand autumns, there is a kind of gentle and light as summer, another beautiful and colorful as fire.

Kahanamoku Lagoon, Kahanamoku Penghu, between Magic Island (Magic Island) and Alway Boat Port (Ala Wai Boat Harbor), located on the southwest coast of the southeast corner of Oahu Island, Hawaii; its outer opening faces the sea, the vast Pacific Ocean; its inner leads to the Alway Canal (Ala Wai Canal). The most famous urban area of Honolulu on Oahu is the Waikiki and Alamora; the Alawe Canal will be divided into two, the north of the canal is Alamora, and the south is Waikiki. Kahanamokuyu Lake, at the west opening of the Alawe Canal facing the Pacific Ocean, west of the Magic Island, north of the Alamora Park Trail (Ala Moana Park Dr), east of the Alawe Boat Port and completely connected to the waters of the Boat Port Area, there is no clear boundary, and south except for the opening to the Pacific Ocean, It is the three pier trestle bridges of the ship port terminal. It can be seen that the location is excellent and the scenery is unique here. Lake Kahanamoku is not Lake Duke Kahanamoku (Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon). Duke Kahana Mokulu Lake is southeast of Kahana Mokulu Lake, and is separated from Kahana Mokulu Lake by the Allaway Boat, parking lot and Penghu Beach. Duke Kahana Mokulu Lake is a real Penghu Lake. Lake Kahana Mokulu Lake is a semi-Penghu Lake that opens to the Pacific Ocean. Half of Wuhu and Wuhu are like peninsula and island. Facing the sea, the four seasons are like summer.

The Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Lagoon sits at the end of Honolulu and the start of Waikiki and is the lagoon that sits at the base of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This is a Free spot for Hotel guests and Locals to use freely. I personally enjoy this location because it has a park like atmosphere and has free parking. It is close to many shops and restaurants and it is across from the Ala Wai Boat Harbor. This is the MOST QUIET area of Waikiki/Honolulu. This is also the location that Fireworks happen on Fridays nights around dusk.If you catch me anywhere in Waikiki, this lagoon will be the place...easy in, easy out of Waikiki...then I just head to the Chart House for some killer grindz and drinks after a nice day taking a dip in the lagoon and getting some sun.
